Scribble Scrabble - A Mental Health Game

This is a really simple self-care exercise to help you when your mind is feeling chaotic, noisy, cluttered, or maybe even empty and numb. It’s essentially the same as journaling or just venting on a page, but I wanted to give it a fun name.

    Here’s how it works:
The goal is to write how you’re feeling/what you’re thinking. Even if you don’t know what to write, put down I don’t know what to write. Sometimes the words come easier than other times. But if you just manage to put “this feels dumb, I don’t know why I’m doing this”, congrats! You’ve won. Objective complete.

The side effect here is you usually get out a bunch of emotions and thoughts. Organizing them on paper can often make you feel a lot better. It’s therapeutic to see everything you couldn’t fully articulate out of your head, onto a page. It’s like liberating the bad thoughts. Even if you don’t get any great “revelations” or “answers”, sometimes just putting it out there will make you feel more in touch with what the problem is.
